Powder Coating and Other Services
Maas Brothers provides a range of services in addition to our High Volume Conveyorized and Custom Powder Coating offerings. Specialized coatings for non-metal components, effective paint and rust removal, and pre-treatments for better paint adhesion and corrosion resistance are also services we provide to ensure the highest quality work and complete customer staisfaction. Finally, we offer transportation services for unique customer requirements.
High Volume Powder Coating
A comprehensive, coordinated conveyor for high volume jobs, gives us the capacity to provide excellent powder coating finishes in high volume. Multistage cleaning, washing, dipping and sandblasting facilities ensure that all products receive proper surface preparation to accept specified coatings. Computerized automated spray booths assure consistency of powder coat color and film thickness.
Liquid Coating
We use two component polyurethane coatings to meet the 2.8 EPA regulations for solvent emissions and meeting the high performance properties required by the business machine computer and electronic enclosures industry. Coatings may be applied in a variety of glosses and textures. We also offer smooth or textured coatings on structural foam and injection molded plastics such as polycarbonate, ABS and polystyrene, SMC, wood and metal substrates.
Some of our liquid coatings have the ability to be color matched to our power coatings for those customers jobs that have both liquid and powder coating needs.
Media Blasting
We use an angular, durable blasting abrasive, aluminum oxide, which can be recycled many times. It is the most widely used abrasive in blast surface preparation because of its cost, longevity and hardness. Harder than other commonly used blasting materials, aluminum oxide grit powder penetrates and cuts even the hardest metals.
Aluminum oxide is approximately 50% lighter than metallic media and has twice as many particles per pound. The fast cutting action minimizes damage to thin materials by eliminating surface stresses caused by heavier, slower cutting media, easily removing paint and rust for decorative surface preparation.

Phosphate Pre-treatment
Iron Phosphate is a liquid acidic product that produces coatings that range in color from blue to iridescent reddish-gold on steel, depending upon the amount of coating deposited. Iron Phosphate is designed for use in the third stage of five stage immersion pre-paint processes to produce a high performance iron phosphate coating on steel, galvanneal, and aluminum. This process provides superior paint adhesion and corrosion resistance under today’s modern finishes. Our product meets Federal Specification TT-C490 type II
